There is ample opportunity to develop both the upper bay and all around the sound as well as an interesting opportunity to tie the lake into the bay by cutting a canal across the small isthmus separating the two.Īs you travel inward from the sound above the first range of hills/mountains, you will find several valleys well suited for development into villages, towns and - who knows? - even cities.
This map was originally made using Landscape Designer and then heavily modified using PaintShop Pro, v9.1x. Vicki's Sound, as it is now known, has very deep and chilly waters which are frequently visited by whales returning to breed and rest during the migratory journey. Over time, the bay and surrounding areas settled into the familiar landscape known today.
Please feel free to discuss and request !Īfter the last ice age, the retreating glaciers scoured out a very large bay which quickly filled with water melting from the glaciers and mixed with water from the surrounding sea.

Map size : 16 x 10 big tiles (65,536 x 40,960 km)Ĭoordinates of Dubrovnik (map is not centered on the city) : 42☃8'N 18☀6'EĮdited with 3DEM, Gimp, Photo Line and SC4 Terraformer. In 1979, the city of Dubrovnik joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites (source : Wikipedia). Its total population is 42,641 (census 2011). It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations on the Adriatic, a seaport and the centre of Dubrovnik-Neretva county. Hi mappers, here is my modest contribution to the community :ĭubrovnik and the dalmatian coast - Croatia (File #24)ĭubrovnik is a Croatian city on the Adriatic Sea coast, positioned at the terminal end of the Isthmus of Dubrovnik. Edit: The config file is 4 by 7 blue squares. I hope you enjoy! Please comment and rate. You can easily build your city on the island, it's very flat. Thats because the wind most of the time comes from the north-west. You can see there are lots of dunes in the west and in the east there are mostly dikes. In the north, there was an accident in the dikebuilding project so a part of the island flooded, so a sort of lake was created. In the south part there is a very big beach (however SC4 made it into a green beach) and a bit of relief. Texel once were two islands, later combined into one. Texel is the first island in the row of islands, and is also the biggest. You know the five islands in the north of the Netherlands? I'm going to render them all to SimCity! TVTAS stands for the first characters of all five islands. I saw you enjoyed my previous map, so I decided to start a project. UPDATED: The terrain is a bit higher, it was too low
